• Real cookware materials. We built the pots from metal and shaped the spoons and vegetables from wood sourced from Forest Stewardship Council certified forests. Water-based paint finishes each wooden piece.
• Straining and stirring. The metal strainer nests right inside the larger pot. Children can drop in the fabric pasta pieces, pretend to boil them on the stove, and lift the strainer out to drain the dinner.
• Serving up pretend meals. Preschoolers can toss the wooden vegetables into the pots, mix them with the pasta shapes, and dish everything out onto the plate. Handling the utensils and small pieces practices fine hand grip.
