Fisher-Price Wood Montessori Sorting Tree Learning Activity, Ages 3+ Years

Preschoolers sort ten painted apples into the tree using wooden tweezers. We built the set out of wood from Forest Stewardship Council-certified sources and water-based paints. A tip card from our Play Lab shares ideas for color games on the rug.

• Tweezers and ten apples. The set comes with one wooden tree, ten apple pieces, one tweezer tool, and a guided play tips card. Children use the tweezers to pick up each apple and drop it into place.
• Wood from managed forests. We use wood sourced from Forest Stewardship Council-certified forests for the tree and fruit pieces. Each part is finished with water-based paint for tabletop play.
• Matching colors by hand. Preschool hands squeeze the tweezers to grip a single apple, lift it, and match its color to a slot on the branches. The movement practices hand coordination.
• Ideas from our Play Lab. The included card offers play tips developed by the experts at our Play Lab. It lays out simple sorting challenges and guided games to try together.
