Preschoolers can serve up pretend treats from the ice cream bucket, hand them over to the friendly monster, and turn the thick pages of The Sharing Book together. It gives families a shared vocabulary during pretend play.

• Ice cream bucket play. Fifteen play pieces fit with the ice cream bucket for pretend dessert orders. Children practice handing scoops and cones back and forth, turning the idea of taking turns into a hands-on game across the living room rug.
• The toy monster. The included monster figure gives kids a pretend friend who is ready for a snack. Handing a scoop to the monster gives preschoolers a concrete way to practice offering something to others during make-believe play.
